The campsite

What means to be a green campsite?

We at Camping Sölden are constantly striving to improve and to minimize our ecological footprint in order to be a completely environmentally friendly place in the near future. With our partially expanded CAR-FREE ZONE, which offers even more calm and comfort, our CamperClean chemical toilet cleaning and the brand new Easy-Be dishwasher, we are taking another step closer to the absolute green footprint at Camping Sölden.

What are the Check-In & Check-Out times?

CHECK-IN: 03.00 p.m. to 08.00 p.m.
On we request we offer a Late Check-In until 10.59 p.m.!

CHECK-OUT: 08.30 a.m. to 11.00 a.m.
We kindly ask you to vacate the ptich by 11.30 a.m. latest!

Does the pitch must be emptyed by 11.00 a.m. on the day of departure or can I stay longer?

We kindly ask you to settle the outstanding invoice at the reception and vacate your pitch by 11.00 a.m. on the day of departure latest. A late Check-Out after 11.00 a.m. is possible on request & availability only and for an extra charge of 25% of your daily price rate.

Is it possible to check-in before 3.00 p.m.?

If the pitch will be ready before 12.00 p.m., for sure you will have the possibility to Check-In earlier. For this we will charge an Early Check-In fee of 25% of your daily price rate. Please notice that the front desk is closed from 12.00 p.m. to 3.00 p.m. daily and so there is no possibility for a Check-In and you are also not able to enter the barrier to the campsite. There is no parking possibility in front of the campsite meanwhile.

Is it possible to check out and leave the campsite before 8.30 a.m.?

You have the possibility to leave the campsite from 6 a.m. onwards. We kindly ask you to settle the outstanding invoice the evening before by 8 p.m. latest. You will receive a replacement card to open the barrier in the morning. A earlier departure is not possible due to the night's rest on the camping site!

How can I settle my bill?

We kindly ask you to settle your outstanding invoice on the day of departure in Cash, by debit card or credit card (VISA or MASTERCARD).

What is the average size of the pitches?

Pitches Standard - 50m² - 60m²
Pitches Comfort - 70m² - 85m²
Pitches Premium - approx. 100m²

Is it possible to book a particular pitch?

In general it is possible to book specific places. We give our best to fulfill it. However, we ask for your understanding that this cannot always be considered.

Does the campsite require a night rest?

From 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., there is absolute silence on the entire camping site. During this time, the exit- and entry barrier of the campsite is also closed!

Are dogs allowed at the campsite?

We warmly welcome your four-legged friend to Camping Sölden! A comfortable dog shower and biodegradable dog waste bags are available to your little four-legged friend free of charge. A nice dog tour starts right in front of the campsite, far from the road and noise, along beautiful meadows.

How much do I have to pay in case of a cancellation?

The cancellation costs depend on the date of cancellation. The detailed listing of cancellation conditions can be found in our terms and conditions.

Where can I find the GTC?

Connections & W-LAN

What do I need to connect to the power supply?

Each pitch has a power connection of 10A (Comfort & Premium pitches 16A). To use the power connection you need a CEE plug. You can borrow this at the reception for a fee or alternatively purchase it.

What is the best way to heat my camper/caravan?

We recommend to heat with gas as this is the cheapest selection. We sell 5 kg , 11 kg (also in aluminum) and 33 kg Eurogas bottles at our campsite.

Is there a cable-TV connection on each pitch?

Each pitch has a free cable-TV connection with over 500 digital and international channels. If you do not have your own TV-cable with you, you can borrow it at the reception for a fee.

Can I use WIFI at the entire campsite?

Yes – the entire campsite is provided with high-speed internet for free.

Is it possible to exchange/buy gas bottles?

At our campsite we offer the exchange of European propane gas bottles 5kg , 11kg as well as 33kg. We also exchange 11kg European aluminium propane gas bottles. The exchange/purchase of gas bottles is possible at any time during the opening hours of the reception!

Equipment

Is the wellness area included?

In our in-house wellness area you will find a panorama sauna, bio sauna, steam bath, infrared cabin, heated bench, as well a cozy relaxation area with adjacent open-air zone . The use of the wellness area is already included in the winter months. In summer / autumn the wellness area can be used for a extra charge. The opening times vary during the different seasons.

Can I use the boulder wall with friends or my children?

We have boulder wall right in the entrance area of ​​the main house. The use of the climbing wall is free of charge for all camping guests. However, bouldering requires experience.

Where can I store my ski equipment and dry my clothing?

Our campsite has a video-monitored and access-secured ski room with an ultra-modern boot dryer (intelligent SuperDry technology). We also offer a drying room right next door in which you can dry and stow your equipment after skiing. Would you prefer to store your ski equipment right next to the cable car station? No problem - you get a discount for a ski depot directly at the cable car station at Sporthütte Fiegl at reception.

Is there a bike room with a bike repair station?

Our free bike wash station and bike repair station is available to our guests free of charge at any time in summer. Of course, you can borrow the right tools for this at the reception. The campsite also has a video-monitored and access-secured bike room where you can safely store your high-quality bikes during your stay.

Is it possible to clean my motorhome at the campsite?

At our campsite, cleaning is only possible with a sponge. At our partner company, the ENI petrol station in Bruggen, you can clean your camper/caravan in the car wash station. The petrol station is located about 8.3 km before Sölden.

Where is the next cable-cabin and what it is called?

The next access to the ski-, hiking- and biking area is the Gaislachkoglbahn. This cable-car is just a 3 minute walk from the campsite.

Is there a restaurant at the campsite?

Right next to the campsite is the Gasthof Grauer Bär, which prepares regional and seasonal cuisine, as well as the Bäckelar Wirt.

Can I order bread at the campsite?

The bakery is located 80 meters from the campsite and can be reached on foot in a short time. You can buy daily fresh bread as well as milk, sausage and cheese.

How far is the nearest supermarket from the campsite?

The next supermarket "MPREIS" is only 200 meters far from the campsite and can therefore be reached by foot.

Is there a ski bus service from the campsite to the cable car station?

The campsite is 200 meters and therefore only a three-minute walk far from the cable car station "Gaislachkogel". In addition, ski buses run every 10 minutes through Sölden free of charge. In winter there is also a free ski bus to the Gurgl ski area, approx. 15 kilometers away, every 10 minutes. The next bus stop is only 50 meters far from the campsite!

Who should I contact to book ski lessons?

Learn to ski or snowboard with internationally certified ski instructors in one of the most renowned ski schools in Sölden, the Ski School Ötztal. We are happy to help you with a booking directly on site. With early course bookings directly via the online shop, you will receive a discount of up to -15%. Prices and further information about the ski school can be found here.

Can I book ski rental in advance?

In terms of ski rental and ski service, we recommend our partner company Sporthütte Fiegl, which is located directly at the cable car station "Gaislachkogl" and only 200 meters far from the campsite. You can book the ski rental in advance through the online shop and save up to 15% discount. You can also pick up a voucher with further discounts at our reception!

Are there any discounts for ski tickets?

From beginner's tickets, half-day tickets, multi-day tickets and optional season tickets, you can satisfy your hunger for winter sports in a very flexible way. The Ötztaler Superskipass, which is automatically valid in all ski areas of the Ötztal from 3 days onwards, provides even more variety.

However the new dynamic price model offers attractive prices (up to -22%) and rewards those who secure the desired ski passes early and in advance in the online ticket shop.

Our partner ski-school “Skischule Ötztal” offers guided ski tours as well as snowshoe hikes.

Summer

Which kind of activities does the Ötztal offer in summer?

Especially in summer there is the best opportunity to explore the entire valley with the Ötztal Inside Summer Card. The leisure activities range from water sports in Area 47 to the stone-aged Museum Ötzi-Dorf in Umhausen. You can also discover the countless hiking trails and relax in the fresh mountain air. Is the Ötztal Inside Summer Card included at the campsite?

You will get the guest card via e-mail at your arrival.  The Ötztal Inside Summer Card is not included in the price. You can buy the Ötztal Inside Summer Card directly at our reception! You can get an insight into the offer and the prices here. Alternatively, you also have the option of purchasing the Ötztal Inside Summer Card in the online shop for three, seven or ten consecutive days.

Is a regular bus running through the entire Ötztal?

Public transport in the Ötztal is very popular and runs to numerous stops between Ötztal train station and the end of the valley at short intervals. The nearest bus stop is just 50 meters far from the campsite.

SUMMER
With the free guest card, which you will obtain via e-mail after arrival, you will receive mobility advantages through the Ötztal valley.  Additionally, you will get reductions on various tourist and cultural attractions such as hiking tours, museums, etc.

WINTER
FREE TRAVEL on public transports on presentation of the free guest card, which can be made available to you on request at the reception, or with alpine ski clothing for winter sports in the period from October to May. This special service and inclusive benefit applies from Check-In to Check-Out at the accommodation.

Can I transport my bike with the cable-car?

The Bergbahnen Sölden offers bike transport for all mountain bikers who want to save themselves the strenuous uphill climb on a mountain bike.

What’s the Bike Republic Sölden?

The Bike Republic Sölden, founded in 2015, makes the hearts of mountain bikers and downhillers beat faster and has created a BIKE culture from the valley to the mountain. The Bike Republic Sölden consists of a huge network of natural trails and ecologically built lines in the most varied of difficulty levels as well as dozens of tours, enduro routes and two pump tracks in the valley. Where is the next swimming pool?

Directly in Sölden and only 700m far from the campsite there is an indoor adventure pool with a sauna world in the Freizeit Arena. The Aqua Dome thermal baths are located in Längenfeld - 14 km away from Sölden. The nearest outdoor swimming pool is also only 14 km away in Längenfeld. Swimming lakes can be found in Umhausen (22 km) and Ötz (30 km).
